How does matching work?
Candidates are matched to position searches based on their profiles, which are scored by calculating a weighted rubric.
Profile questions are given relative point values based on their importance (as determined by the church, candidate, and/or the rubric itself). Church and candidate answers are then compared, and based on the type of question, full credit, partial credit, or no credit is given for each.
The total earned score is then tallied against the total possible score (which is variable, due to candidate- and church-specific importance preferences). Then section-specific and total match percentages are calculated.
As district placement directors and churches review matches, the questions that most positively or negatively affected the overall score are highlighted to provide context for the match score.
